Genetics! How lovely...Or not

It is the beginning of a brand new week. This means another blog assignment. Yay!

Blog Assignment 3:  What is one thing that you have found interesting about the disease that you chose? What questions do you have so far? Is there anything that you need help with?

This is due Friday Jan. 27.

Lions, Tigers, and Diseases!! Oh my!!

Hello, fellow bloggers!

I hope you all enjoyed your 3-day weekend. Hopefully, you have setup your account, started a blog, & have your first blog assignment out of the way. I have started reading your posts as well as comment on them.

Before we get to our next posting assignment, I thought I would update all of you on Lily the Tree Frog. Lily is doing great. She has grown alot since you have seen her. She's grown about half her size. Do you remember when I told your her friend had passed away? Over the weekend, I bought her a baby sister to keep her company. She doesn't have a set name yet. However, I tend to call her Baby Girl. She was about the size of a nickel. She is indeed getting bigger just like her big sister. Here is a picture that I took last night.



Lily is the big one looking at the camera. Baby Girl is the small one in the corner.

I will continue to take pictures and give you updates. I will try and capture some video of them eating for the next update.

Now to official business...Here is your next posting assignment:  For your next post, I want you to talk about the reasoning in choosing your disease. Was it the name that attracted you and your partner's attention? Do you personally know someone with that disease? Did it just seem interesting and you want to know more? This post is due January 20.

Welcome Back!!

It's nice to see all of you again. I hope you had a wonderful and enjoyable Christmas break. You should have setup an account with Blogger and joined this blog. By joining this blog, it will help me to keep up with everyone's blog. Also, my blog may help you throughout the semester. I plan to provided extra help, support, and resources throughout this semester. For example, if you're having trouble with pedigree charts, check out this blog. I will post some detailed and/or shorten version that may be easier to understand. If you are stuck and having questions, hit the comment button and ask away.

Your first blog assignment:  For your first blog post, I want you to "talk" about yourself. Include things like your hobbies, your favorite things (movies, food, etc.), what your plans are after high school in your entry, extracurricular activities, places that you've been to, etc. This entry should be all about you. You can type everything out, use pictures to enhance your post, and/or embed a video into your post. Yes video. Remember, that your netbook has a webcam. Record yourself and post it on your blog. You will have until Friday January 6 to complete this assignment.
